Y502-L LoRaWAN Serial DTU with Isolated RS485 and RS232

LoRaWAN Serial DTU

Y502-L connects meters, PLCs and serial sensors to LoRaWAN through isolated RS485 and RS232. Supports scheduled polling and transparent transport via a compatible gateway.

  • LoRaWAN
  • RS485
  • RS232
  • Serial DTU
  • OTAA / ABP
  • Class A / C

Key Features

01

One isolated RS485 interface and one isolated RS232 interface; no direct DI, DO, AI or AO channels

02

LoRaWAN 1.0.3 with OTAA/ABP activation and Class A/Class C operation

03

Up to 16 scheduled acquisition scripts plus a heartbeat task, using HEX or ASCII commands

04

Modbus RTU requests, custom serial frames, data-change reports and remote serial commands

05

Transparent serial data travels in LoRaWAN packets; payload limits and downlink timing affect request/response operation

06

9–28 VDC supply, 35 mm DIN-rail mounting and 15 kV ESD protection on both serial interfaces

Deployment

Gateway Compatibility
Y501-L or Y511-L with a matching regional plan and channel group, plus compatible local or remote Network Server settings
Serial Transport
Serial data travels in LoRaWAN packets. Payload limits, airtime and downlink scheduling affect frame length and request timeouts.
Downlinks
Class A receives downlinks after an uplink. Class C provides more receive opportunities. Delivery time depends on airtime, server scheduling and regional radio limits.
Payload
Payload format, FPorts and decoding rules depend on the installed firmware
