Use an updated desktop Chrome or Edge browser with Web Serial support and open this page over HTTPS. Your operating system must recognize the serial port or USB-to-serial adapter; install its driver if required. Click Connect, then choose and authorize the port in the browser prompt. Match the device's baud rate, 7/8 data bits, 1/2 stop bits, parity and flow control. Change connection settings while disconnected.
YenGear Online Serial Monitor sends and receives data through a local serial port in your computer's browser. No debugging app download or account is needed.
If you use Dasha's serial debugging tool (ComMonitor), the three command slots, timed and response-driven sequences, retries, file sequences and checksum tools cover common serial debugging workflows. Re-enter your device settings and commands. This is an independently developed YenGear web application, not an official web edition or download of ComMonitor. Configuration import accepts only JSON exported by this tool.
Use a desktop tool with the relevant capabilities for precise timing, system COM port names, always-on-top windows or long-running background capture. Browser intervals are approximate, and closing the page ends the current session.
This page accesses ports exposed by your operating system. For RS-232 or RS-485 equipment, use an electrically compatible adapter, follow the device wiring instructions and install any required driver. TTL, RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces cannot be wired interchangeably. If no port is available, check that the OS recognizes the adapter and close other programs using it. The browser does not expose Windows COM port names to this tool.
HEX sends byte pairs such as 01 03 00 00 00 01. Text sends UTF-8. An ending is appended before checksum calculation. Choose the algorithm and byte order required by your device. CRC-16/MODBUS helps build Modbus RTU commands; this tool does not decode registers or validate protocol responses.
Send each of the three commands manually or periodically, or select commands to send in sequence. File sequences read one command per nonempty line from a UTF-8 text file. Continue after an interval or a response, with a timeout and retry limit. Automatic sending uses browser timers; intervals and response timestamps are approximate. Keep the page visible for timing-sensitive work. A sequence stops when the retry limit is reached. Stopping cannot recall bytes already being written, and reconnection never resumes sending automatically.
LF, CRLF and fixed-length framing preserve incomplete data until a frame completes. Idle framing groups data by browser arrival gaps. Remaining bytes are recorded as incomplete when disconnected, when framing changes, or before a sequence command. Stopping recording also saves a copy of the incomplete tail without interrupting reception. These bytes do not count as complete frames or responses. Response matching checks a complete frame for the given bytes; it does not verify addresses, checksums or protocol correctness.
Pausing display does not stop receiving, counting or recording. Filtering affects the view and filtered export only. The log retains at most 2,000 records or 2 MiB of data, discarding the oldest records at the limit; export includes only retained records. When the browser supports choosing a folder, continuous saving writes new raw TX/RX frames in separate file segments, independent of filters. Finish saving before leaving. Buffer limits, disk failures or browser termination can lose data; this page is not a background data logger.
Serial data, command files and configuration are processed in this browser and the local files you choose to save. This tool does not upload them. Browser configuration is saved only if you opt to remember settings and commands. Each language site stores settings separately; export and import configuration to transfer it. Before changing language sites, stop sending, finish saving and disconnect.

View: latest 300 matching records. Export buffer: up to 2,000 records / 2 MiB.
Saves all new TX/RX records as HEX segments every 5 s or 64 KiB, regardless of display filters. Pending data can be lost if the browser exits.
No matching traffic to display.
One command per nonempty line. Up to 1 MiB / 10,000 lines. All lines are checked before sending. Uses the sequence settings.
Select a port to begin. Nothing is sent automatically.
