Y503-222-L LoRaWAN RTU, 2DI/2DO/2AI and RS485

LoRaWAN I/O RTU

Y503-222-L connects two digital inputs, two switched voltage outputs, a 0–10 V input, a 4–20 mA input and isolated RS485 to a LoRaWAN gateway and Network Server.

  • LoRaWAN
  • 2 DI
  • 2 Voltage DO
  • 0–10 V Input
  • 4–20 mA Input
  • RS485

Key Features

01

Two digital inputs share COM and accept dry contacts or powered signals up to 28 VDC, with wiring matched to the sensor

02

Two switched voltage outputs follow the RTU supply voltage; they are not dry relay contacts

03

Separate fixed-function analog terminals: one 0–10 V AV input and one 4–20 mA AI input, with no analog output

04

Isolated RS485 supports configured polling and transparent transport, including Modbus RTU data

05

LoRaWAN 1.0.3, OTAA/ABP and Class A/Class C, with periodic, heartbeat and state-change reporting

06

Timed output, pulse control and local input-to-output rules require compatible firmware and a confirmed output-load rating

Specifications

LoRaWAN Radio

Protocol
LoRaWAN 1.0.3
Activation
OTAA / ABP
Device Classes
Class A / Class C
Frequency Plans
EU433, CN470 (reference), EU868, AU915, US915, AS923; region-specific hardware; specify the AS923 sub-plan when ordering
Transmit Power
-1 to 22 dBm, subject to regional configuration

125 kHz
Spreading Factor
SF7–SF12
Receiver Sensitivity
-135 dBm at SF12, BW125 kHz

Digital Inputs

Channels
2 DI with shared COM
Signal Types
Dry contact or powered contact; NPN/PNP wiring depends on COM connection
Maximum Voltage
DC 28 V

Digital Outputs

Channels
2 switched voltage outputs
On State Voltage
Follows the applied RTU supply voltage
Output Type
Voltage outputs, not voltage-free relay contacts or analog outputs
Current Limit
Maximum specified output current: 1 A. Contact YenGear for per-channel and combined load limits before connecting two loads.
Supply Sizing
Use a 2 A adapter when the connected output load exceeds 200 mA; budget combined loads and starting current

Analog Inputs

Voltage Input
1 fixed AV terminal, 0–10 V
Current Input
1 fixed AI terminal, 4–20 mA
Accuracy
±0.5% of full scale
Reported Resolution
0.001 V / 0.001 mA; measurement accuracy is ±0.5% of full scale
Analog Outputs
None
Maximum Input
10.7 V at AV; 22 mA at AI. Normal measurement ranges are 0–10 V and 4–20 mA.

Serial Interface

RS485
1 isolated RS485 A/B
ESD Protection
15 kV
Baud Rates
1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 bps

8 data bits; 1 or 2 stop bits; none, odd, or even parity
Initial Setting
9600 bps, 8-N-1
Operation
Scheduled polling and transparent transport, including configured Modbus RTU frames

Reporting And Control

Reporting
Periodic acquisition, heartbeat, and input/output state-change reporting
Control
Remote output commands; timed control, pulse output, and local input-to-output rules require compatible firmware
Commissioning
Check startup state and communication-loss behavior for the installed firmware. A radio acknowledgement does not prove that the connected equipment changed state.

Power Supply

Voltage
DC 9–28 V; use one supply for parallel power inputs
Reference Adapter
DC 12 V / 1 A; larger supply where required by output load
Maximum Working Current
0.5 A for the RTU; budget controlled loads separately
Average Power
≤0.5 W; load and operating conditions affect total consumption

Environmental

Operating Temperature
-40 to 85 °C
Storage Temperature
-50 to 95 °C
Humidity
5–95% RH, non-condensing

Mechanical

Dimensions
104 × 97.6 × 25.6 mm
Weight
Approximately 0.7 kg
Mounting
Wall or panel surface; follow supplied mounting drawing
Antenna Connector
SMA female

Deployment

Gateway Compatibility
Y501-L or Y511-L with matching regional plan and channels, using an external Network Server or optional local NS/AS
Downlinks
Class A receives downlinks after an uplink. Class C provides more receive opportunities. Delivery time depends on airtime, server scheduling and regional radio limits.
Payload
Configuration tools, uplink decoders and downlink commands must match the installed firmware
